Have you ever thought about taking a few college classes to learn a new skill? Maybe to freshen up on skills you already have. Or are you like me and want to learn about a new hobby you have? Well, the great news is if you live in San Diego you can do just that for free. The San Diego Continuing Education program has over 25 class that you can take for free. The best part is they are online so you don’t have to leave the comfort of your own home. There is a wide range of class topics such as Accounting, Front End Web Development and Family Home Day Care Training.
Over the summer I took a photoshop class and could not have had a better experience. The professor uploaded the lesson each week on Tuesday afternoon. I then had all week to watch some videos and complete an assignment. I loved that I could complete the work for each lesson whenever I had time. No stress of finding the same time each week to be online. The professor provided feedback on my assignments and answered questions I had in a timely manner. I am so pleased with the format of this class I plan on taking more this semester.

Here is how you can get started.
Go to www.sdce.edu or http://www.sdce.edu/schedule#/all (in the search bar type “online”) for a full list of classes offered. Select a class and take note of the registration day, time and location. Registration must take place in person on that day and time. It only takes about 30 min. You will complete the online application in the classroom, meet the teacher and hear about the class. Then you are off to complete the rest of the course online. Again, I found the whole process very easy.
